I had a lightened 3B Flywheel before and never heard it either, I hear it only since I've been using the ally FW.

Mind you even though the rattle is a bit annoying I am very happy with the ally FW and wouldn't change it. I might try a slightly heavier Gearbox oil as that may help, but if it doesn't I'll easily live with it

I think I've 'heard' it before, even on my sprung-clutch, stock flywheel 80 (mostly when pulling away from really slow corners in second gear, below maybe even 1700rpm...sounds like a box of rocks)...

Any idea on what that concoction of oil was that the M3 owners were using?
      Thanks for the read.

I've looked through all my current favourites and my old emails to Doug and Corey - they mention the "concoction" as an idea, but don't actual say what it was .

EDIT: You found it whilst I was looking. That was it!!

Ratle is the reason wy Audi has changed the cluch disk at 200 quattro 20V turbo with modified hub wich has some small springs to damp the vibrations. The 200 flyweel lighter then 3B S2 one. The sport cluches dont have those springs.
          Hope this helps!
          All the best!
