IIRC the rs2 one is cheaper than the s2 one retailling for iirc £128 and because of the design inside does flow slightly better. Plus if you go for an rs2 airbox later I think you need one tho not sure if its a direct fit on a standard aby airbox.
Tbh i'd speak to martyn at vagparts and check out with him.
I was just looking on Vagparts at some bits, and noticed this on the RS2 MAF description:
RS2 MAF
MAF for engine code ADU, larger diameter compared to normal S2, this is not a direct swap for the S2 as you will need to change the air box due to the size increase
I was just looking on Vagparts at some bits, and noticed this on the RS2 MAF description:
No offense to VAGparts but that is ****** I am afraid. I can only assume that there webmaster is confused.
As stated above, many of us including myself have run all combinations. The S2 and RS2 MAF and airbox are identical on the outside. All differences are purely on the inside.
I had already made up my mind I was going to get the RS2 one after reading this thread and chatting to Jamo on MSN, I just thought Id mention it when I noticed their description on Vagparts!
Maybe its to get the uneducated to buy the more expensive S2 one lol
