I think it was £53+ theft.
Five minutes to fit, just slide off the vacuum pipe without releasing clips, slide out the clip that holds the fpr in position, pull it out. fitting is the reverse as Haynes would say!

Mine has gone. Mine came after I fitted a new lambda but could have been there before. I disconnected the lambda but did pull the fuses after that job. Since then its had a new G62 & MAF to turbo hose. I am guessing the old hose could have been to blame for the code due to the state of it.
Alg, did you ever find what was causing the oily residue? Loose vac pipe on the manifold perhaps? I have a little leakage at the Throttle Body pivot that leaves a bit of a film.
Also worth checking the vac pipe connection at the ECU, mine was leaking and causing this code and very rich running. Do a one bung pressure test (including IM) and listen inside the car. If you have any original OEM vac hose left in the car its worth at least cutting 10mm off the ends and remaking with new clips, or replace with new. I've seen so many small leaks with this stuff once it gets old and goes hard.

No I need to look into this. When I did the PCV there was not much contamination but I will check it
today after a small ride, the lamda fault code came up.The car started to dip on neutral speed and it smelled a bit funny. When i stopped i read the codes and the lamda code came up along with the mixture adaptation one.I erased them once again and everything is fine.I wonder is this car serious?I mean if you leave it a couple of days without a drive it gets back to you!
give me a break!!!
Mine went after the MAF-TURBO hose was replaced & has stayed away. I also have seen my calculated mpg rise to 18mpg around town & 27mpg on motorway (80ish with a light right foot ). I suspect I had a small boost leak wihich the ecu could cope with by chucking fuel at it !
well mine did it again a little bit today at cold start and after a small drive to the supermarket, but there were no faults this time!(mine does that a lot!!)The idle was a bit unbalanced and at around 750rpm instead of 900rpm for cold start and it would drop again on clutch depression.I tried to go on a bit higher revs on the drive so as to give it a little bit more in acceleration without going WOT and it was fine.I didnt get any roughness in driving such as when the lambda is compromised.SO i did the old MAF trick, unplugging the maf and replugging it.I hope it cures it again.
By the way, what do you use to reset the ECU from the VAGCOM interface?
as i was just reading somewhere of ecu resetting procedures,it seemed logical that if you leave your car undriven for several days,or for any reason the battery level or state drops, there could be a problem with the ECU and the values it already has stored.I believe it has happened to me before with battery related issues or alarm issues where the battery had gone in low voltage(eg while trying to fire up the car in low voltage bat.) which could have messed the ECU's values, thus creating the issue with rough idle,or idle dropping, when cold, which could explain why sometimes you get those issues while you dont actually have a bad sensor.
But I have a problem very similar and can not solve.
2 months ago changed the MAF again, because spark plugs and connectors to a strange odor and an error occurred VagCom of sondalambda.
Since no deal sondalambda purchased and installed new code comes out now and 0561, the wrong car, stops at the traffic lights, is the very irregular idling, much soot by exhaust.
Lambda old evidence and remains the same, ever goes worse, not where to look.
A couple of weeks ago to replace a rubber connection linking the fuel pressure regulator with the air pressure pipe, and put a small rubber vacuum as the connection of DV.

Did you dry fit it or did you pre treat the seals ?
