    heres one for the experienced.

if i got a new engine with new cams i have a dialema.

new cams require 20 minutes at 2000RPM and never lower. constant.
new block requires up and down on load.

    how would you approach that?

How about running in the new bottom end and new rings with a different (original set of cams).

Then once you are happy that you have got the bottom end all bedded in how you want it, change the cams for the new set and do the 20 mins at 2k rpm thing.

on this example it wasn't an option. we had custom piper cams done for it which meant shorter valves. its a subaru and all excepth early wrx and legacy run solid lifter with shim over so not possible. changing cams also means engine out and heads off.

we were gonna do that. but cant get the standard cams back in the modded heads.

all seems well anyway. been out trying to get a tune on it this week.
