engine cut out after booting it

Drive the car normally is fine, after i boot it in pretty much any gear and then let the engine revs drop to idle (i.e roll upto a set of lights) the engine cuts out, but will start again.

Is this something to do with the ISV?

    Just some ramblings:-

Give the ISV a good clean, I use carb cleaner and spray it through until everything is clear.
    Clean the MAF
Check the TB plug and switch
Try and pull codes to check everything else is fine.
Check for boost leaks, loose pipes etc.

If it re-starts then you'd think that the speed, crank and cam sensors were ok

I also had a problem when the ECU wasn't earthed to the mianifold correctly, check the bolts there are tight and corrosion free.

Andy, ive just fitted a new intercooler, all boost pipes are good, no leaks, recently replaced all the vacuum hoses, all good, recently removed the PCV system for a catch tank, i have had the inlet manifold off and TB so i will check all those connectors again and the two or 3 earths that go to the manifold. I havn't cleaned the ISV yet, but will do that tomorrow along with the MAF.

        Thanks for the pointers

idle is spot on, i put on a new IM gasket when i replaced it so it "should" be fine. Think it might pay to go round and re tighten everything!
