    AAN vs. ABY motronic

Is it true that AAN doesnt have owerboost option? I have instaled AAN engine to S2 and I have MTM remaped AAN motronic. IS it beter to get aby one or should this be ok? The car is not on the road so I cannot test the performance.

AAN does have overboost! There's not much between the AAN and ABY ecus. Someone has put an ABY ecu in my S4.

If the ECU's been tweaked it might be running overboost boost pressure all of the time (i.e. not just under high load in high gears) and that's why you suspect there's no overboost. I'm no mapping expert mind.

I seriously doubt that MTM vould take this ceap trick. An i newer tested it due to the car is in the garage. It was basicly a metter of someone claiming that there is no owerboost feature.

          Thanks all

Means that AAN has also 380Nm torque, same as ABY?

Doesn't the MRC high boost chip go up to 1.5bar and isn't this above stock overboost pressure? I wouldn't know as I have a 3B. Although my point is pointless if the claim was that AANs in general have no overboost rather than your MTM AAN doesn't have overboost.

I think that chipped cars, will have maximum boost all the time, not only for a few second like AAN, but i guees i might be wrong

It depends on who has made the chips. Some people do it with overboost, some do it without (constant boost all the time). There's no strict rule.

Electronicaly AAN and ABY ECU's are the same. Their might be a starter-lock on some ECUs, so make sure that is removed.
