My wastegate use to make some freaky tones like the group B, it wimpers now. The diaphragm is still in good shape. What causes the WG to lower it tone?
hi there, just fixed my boost problem this week and changed the blow-off from a RS2 to a S4 original, sounds pretty good and realy like this!
update: i think it wasn´t quite good for the system... have to change this hose twice in 3 days... and i now have changed the pop off from the "old" S4 to a new S3 pov
driving with about 1.8-1.9 bar in overboost and 1.2-1.3 normal software from tunetec... could this be too much for the original RS2? because the "new" S3 pov makes also some noice *tschhhh* a little bit like a open one... but not as loud as it...
There isn't much information to support the fact that off boost surge will kill turbos. Obviously Audi thought it wasn't going to be a problem on the rally cars, and i bet they got more ragging between services and any of our cars in entire years!
UPDATE: Well after this post, I finally got an 034 DV for my car. I miss the the turbo chater sound, I like the fact the car shifts much better and I don't freak people out when I drive by. Hopefully I'll have my modded 360 thrust bearing k26 turbo done soon.
