engine cut out @ high speed

as above had a blast on the old private test track and @ 140 plus engine died ,did this twice and will not start again until you stop and leave it for a while
then it starts ok and will cruise allday long @ 100
any ideas chaps
all input gratefully recieved

Hall sender? If it does this again try to poor some cold water behind the t-belt plastic cover.

had the same on my old 10valve. turned out to be the lambda overheating. the car would not start when hot...

have been to andyp's house and had it vag-com'd
and this fault appeared

00532- supply voltage b+ 27-10
implausible signal intermitant



anybody know the cause chaps

Supply Voltage Problem, ECU (J220) supply voltage too low or too high
Poor ECU ground connection at intake manifold, battery discharged, check battery current drain with engine off

quick up date looks like my lambda if fubarred
has been on diagnostic equipment @ quattronics
and there is no change in the reading
so going to order a new one from vag parts

I doubt it was the lambda causing the problem, unless you were doing 140+ on part throttle.
