point taken. i presumed you needed a new downpipe with the wagner or other. i prefer cast for its durability and OEM look.

i must say i likle the wagner cast a lot. suppose oyu need ot set your stall out and stick to a certain route to ensure its not costing a load each time.

my problem is i set a target ie 400hp and then move the goalposts suconciously up. before i know it i want 550hp. do others not get these addiction type urges? they are costly.

However since I was again upgrading to the Garret GT3071R a bit sooner than I had foreseen, I replaced the STR EM with a Wagner Evo EM to be future proof and 100% sure it would flow enough for the new turbo.

On the picture you see where you have to grind away some material from the STR EM that I did 1 year ago.
Ahh, I see.. so you newer had the Garret on there with the STR.
I wonder where the STR EM will hit the roof in flow and power.

Doesn't seem too bad of a grind job
Funny enough, urquattroisland and the Norwegian never mentioned any grinding

My reason for not going with a tubular is that I want to be able to MOT my car in the future.
The Swedish MOT is not to keen on tubular manis, or anything not looking stock tbh.

Sounds like most people, at first I was tempted by around 350-400 but since hearing some of the other results people have got this has gone up, luckily i'm still slightly inside the confines of what a rs2 manifold will do.

Plus finding/having a decent downpipe made up is a pain.

Crazy postal prices, thats well over £100 to send to england on the 3 day thing

you can send that from uk to canada for less than half that.

Only thing i'd be worried about doing it that way is if its from ebay and you pay thru paypal your loosing alot of the time that you can claim your money back because your waiting thru shipping to see if it turns up, we all know paypal "might" get your money back but the less chance of that happening via lack of time to claim the worse off it could be.

i had corey do my exhaust. it is really amazing. custom made by his local company.

i know people have had issues but other than a time delay i find corey a nice guy and the work is top notch.

i found it easier to do the following.

                          1. drive car standard to corey with manifold and turbo in boot.
                          2. have corey fit turbo and manifold and send to local guy.
                          3. collect from corey finished except mapping.
                          4. limp home on motronic. (it stalls with a big blower just off idle in TPS transition.)
                          5. map and enjoy the clean, cut free hands.

did you go to the company that did the exhaust system or do you know who it was? after seeing darrenm's system I quite like it.

The company is OJZ engineering of practical performance car fame.

Although they no longer do work for Quattronics allegedly

i went to corey. he may still have the design to fit the wagner tubular too that i have. had to be custom for me.

ive seen lots of systems in the past. my mate used to supply a subaru dealer with systems as a factory option for bug eye onward sti's and rex's his were regarded as that good and they were not up to the one from corey.
