Yeah! I'll call my spare parts seller on early monday morning and hopefully get the coolant and thermostat in the afternoon. That way on Tuesday and the rest of the week go for a ride and start the fist phase of the mapping... up to 4000rpm I'm an amateur on the mapping and cuz of that I will go quetly for a while, and my homemade knock sensor on my ears to avoid knocking! Would be excelent to find anyone that has all the timing and fueling values with the stok K24-7000.. I could copy and paste and have a more stable base where to work on...

Thermostat removed and replaced with a new one (with the little mod that Beetie recommend me...thanks bettie!), red VW coolant added, now temperature with the hood closed doesn't raises from 84°C with fan ON.

But I have some troubles with the VEMS electrical harness... it CANNOT bring the power that the FAN is requiring so the wiring was overheating and burning the relay. I'm going to see what can I invent with the OEM fan. I wanted to use the oem wires for the fan but it doesn't do anything... I think because the stock ECU is not receiving any rpm signal or any life signal from the engine.

the cooling fan is a standalone system. dont need any signal from ecu. there issomething else.

Yeah that was what I realized, but dunno why is not working! One ignorat question.... but....can I put the hi and lo speed of the fan together? Let me explain myself... I have soldered the BROWN wire to the fan GND, and the other two wires (don't remember the color one has a blue stripe and the other a red stripe) were soldered together for the positive feed to the fan... but, nothing happens!!!! Temperature was rising at 92degrees and the fan was OFF. Even the after cooling system is doesn't works when I turn off the engine.

I'll try to search for that relay and see what happens! I maybe could give the activation with the vems

The fan turns ON when I push the AC switch... temperature stabilizes at 84°C on the VEMS gauge and 91°C on the cluster if I'm stopped and hood down... I had my first ride on the streets and the coolant cools down up to 78°C. Strage thing is that the fan is not ON when the coolant is hot, the after cooling either! dunno what is happening! I was looking for the grey plug on under the fuse ox but... I didn't see any grey plug with two green wires (activates both stages of the FAn cooler)!
