It never hurts to have a few gauges to know what's going on with your engine.

Ben doesn't have an EGT gauge so no logs unfortunately.

Now, I'm probably going to sound like I'm speaking nonsense BUT Doug and Mihnea mapped my Avant a few years ago ( car still pulling very strong, ate up and left an SLK 350 for dead just a few days ago ) and it will peak at 1.9 but no backing off of the boost pressure if I stay at WOT, it just keeps it at 1.9 till 7000 rpm....

Is this because I have a larger turbo that can keep up with revs ?

IIRC, it's the same one that he had in his coupé when he pulled a 3.6 sec 0-100km/h run.

Mihnea actually mapped it below it's peak performance or it would've bent my stock rods...
Even at WOT and full torque, you can just hear it whirring effortlessly. It really could be pushing more...

400hp - 500Nm... officially :mischeif:

Full boost at 3500rpm.

It could produce more but my main goal when going for this power upgrade was RELIABILITY !

Doug & Mihnea promised that and that's what I got.

Seriously, I live in an area where S2's - RS2's are virtually unheard of. Hardly anyone has any experience working on them... MRC, once back home, would be over 500km away plus the english channel to cross.

I wanted, heck belay that, I NEEDED to play safe.

500hp can be achieved but as mentioned earlier, it would've bent my rods... Not the turbo's fault, just sensible and protective mapping.

I'm running a Mihnea map on my RS2 setup , peaks at almost 2 Bar on the gauge and falls to 1.5, at the moment its restricted by the 3B downpipe but theres a 3" 034 system sitting in the garage waiting
