I know somebody who is planning on making a batch of 6 bolt vernier cam pulleys based on the OEM unit. I've just made a prototype for them. I'll keep you informed on how it goes.

        Careful Jamo...

The 'Woodruf' key is used for precise location, not to stop things rotating.

If the bolt is not loctited and torqued correctly you still risk breaking the key or guide channel.

Yes indeed, I was mildly suprised to heat that a zero balance crank has no keyway.

Tell that to AndersS2, his cam woodruff key broke breaking the engine.

It's a common complaint, also happens on the crank pulley woodruff key.

they break. i had a cam issue and broke 2 one without even running the engine.

my mate looked at it and said it was already strressed before i fitted it. he could tell by the colour and texture of the material.

i tried to get a DB one but it was costly.

get a 16v golf one for a 3b. id expect cheaper.
