My Lambda reading is .89 volts @ WOT. Is this rich enough, I am sure I read on here that above .80 was fine but can't find it now.
What should the reading be at idle and how steady a reading should I get
cheers
Paul
If anything yours is a little on the rich side - perhaps indicating a minor air leak - or of course a duff MAF. These can be a pig to fault find sometimes unless you have enough spare parts of good parentage to try things for a quick result.
My comment about 0.8V was you don't want to be much lower than that at WOT as it is a tad too lean.
Probing the lambda output is a good ready reckoner but it isn't deadly accurate.
at idle the reading should change atleast twice a second and hop from 0.1v to 0.9v with an average of about 0.5v, best to use a scope to see the waveform. I will be bringing one with me to GTI
