    Noob dump valve question

    Goodmorning all,

Have looked around for whitch dump valve to use, but it's getting to technical for me have still much to learn but i'm getting there

I'm planning to order the dahlback cone filter kit and they have a few dump valves also on their website. http://www.dahlbackracing.se
Some have AN-6 connection, what's the difference?

And will they do good on a 3B S2?

    Thanks you in advance,

    Floppy,

the popular suggestion is the Forge Dump Valve. Serach on that and I feel the answer will be available.

You can easily make that dahlback filter thing for loads less money.
On the subject of dump valves, DONT use one that dumps to atmosphere. Re-circ. only. I have stuck with a std Bosch unit from an S3(three) the spring is loads stronger than S2 type. This was suggested by a little tuning dude from Belgium

        Tom,

Is the performance better with the S3 valve? I s it worth changing to it?

I have just taken a forge (re-circ) Dump valve off mine today, and replaced with a standard one from VAG parts. There is a definate increase in power, however, of the three hoses that go into it the thin hose had fallen off, which is probably why

I still have the forge one if anyone wants it

Got a part number for that Tom? What does it improve, exactly?

              Very slow.

              Needs a chip.

I've just placed an AMD Viper Re-Circ on mine from Turbo Technics.
I've had Baileys and Forge's in the past but do like the Viper and co-incidently it is highly recommended for Audi's as well.

                Check the Viper DV.

Advantage is that it is less likely to open up at high boost. I was told to do it by Mihnea so i did, simple as that. Like Martyn said its dirt cheap too.

Can the S3 diverter valve be used as a dump valve(is that a stupid question)when people say it a recir valve or a dump valve are both not the same, with one vented to air and other routed back into the system, but both doing the same,or are the fitting different?
I'm looking for a good dump valve, not a recirc,so anyone selling one they've changed PM me please
