what would be the point in that? would you ever use mineral oil for this engine anyway?

Conventional (mineral) motor oil is refined from petroleum. One of the advantages of synthetic oil is that it has a decreased evaporative loss.

rather than starting a new thread i could ask something here.

i am now using an oil separator with return to the turbo vaccum. My tank is filling up fairly quickly, but the 2 times that i have emptied it (about 150mls) it seemed to be fairly clear as far as it's contents is concerned. No mayo seen or anything like that.

how bad would it be to put that back in the engine through the oil cap(manually that is)?

I think that should be fine. I bought a kit from 034ms that drains the oil catch can back into the sump it self. Never installed it though

This set up designed by JP and Rusty works perfectly. Black cyclone drains back to sump followed by a catch tank. Vents back to Turbo inlet. Ask JP for more details

i vent to atmosphere.

no smells, no patches of oil from the rocker cover.

no performance loss afaik. id say the difference is negligable on 125k rings.

i have the rear breather in the stock system though.

my setup is similar to JPs only the tank i use is supposed to have cyclone/drain tech incorporated. It is supposed to be ready to install for sump return, but i didnt want it at the time. I think ill just do it manually
