    450-500 Crank Horses

    All,

I'm shortly going to be dismantling and rebuilding the engine with the intention of 450-500 crank horses. I'm getting the RS2 Airbox, MAF and downpipe, and need help with the following.

    I know I'll need:
    Rods
    Pistons
    Bolts
    Gaskets
    Clutch
Turbo - 034 do their KKK/Garett things of which I think the K26/GT3071 is appropriate? But will it bolt to the RS2 downpipe?
    Bigger intercooler

I’m guessing that I may need:
    Cams
    Fuel Pump

    I want:
New wastegate - 034 do that shiny TIAL one that looks quite nice.
    Everything to be shiny

    Help?

First of all – appropriate software.
Sure injectors will have to be changed.
Fuel pump obviously with catch tank.
    Larger exhaust.

I take it this is remapping - I'm sure there's a couple of people on here that could be persuaded to do so for money or parts or both...

What sort of injectors would be best suited to it? RS2 injectors or would it need to be more? Would the fuel rail need changing?

How do I go about this on a coupe? As I've never done this sort of work before as you probably gathered - it's all too easy to ask someone to give you the bill!

Already got - 2x2.75" to 3" at first box, then 2.75" to the back.

        from my experience,you will need:

        1) injectors, 440cc @ 3bar (bigger if you are going for more), OR if your only aim is to use the GT3071R you will be ok with RS2 injectors +/- a bigger FPR

        2) Fuel pump bosch 044(for security reasons)

        3) GT3071R will get you around 420-430hp with ADU cams(and sprocket),maybe a bit more with 7A cams. You need the GT3076R to go easily past 450hp,so my opinion is go for that, not the 3071R. Besides, various tuners have mentioned that the OEM MAF can take that turbo

4)Clutch i bet the sachs organic will do,otherwise nothing less than spec 3+

5)Tial wastegate,is not needed, but it is good if you are going for more in the future.

6)Since you will be running high boost, you may need a catch tank.IM installing mine today

You dont really need pistons for that kind of power TBH they are proven to be reliable. save your self the monney and buy something else.
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

I just told theoretic opinion. I’m not very good specialist in figures, certain parts needed and its specifications.
I just outlined the way to go in order to get more power.
Personally me: I’ve started to cooperate with local dealer of DBR company in order to improve my RS2
My first step: other ECU with 3.2 bar MAP, with two changeable chips (450 and 600+) and according waste gate springs + SQ MAF. Next steps are related basically with hardware.

for cast: EVO RS2 EM from carsten

                Rods, scat will do.

SQ MAF is not required for that amount of power, plus you need someone very experienced in mapping it.

I find two kinds of rods in 034motorsport.com
                    Any difference?
                    In costs of course.
                    But how about quality, reliability?

Keep it as simple as possible.

Standard pistons skimmed to lower the CR will be fine.
1x 044 will be fine for fuel.

try a comp turbo you will need to ask repo on this forum he can help you with this.

If you change to a tial wastegate you will need a new manifold of sorts ( i have this for sale http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=160317014161 )

For injectors rule of thumb can be CC for HP this will be a rough guide

Cams will be fine, maybe a adu exhaust ?

Scat rods are ok but you get what you pay for. Bear that in mind.

And last but not least shinney parts cost money... My S2 owes me ALOT

RS2 setup will 'only' see 380bhp but will cost a lot less and is basically bolt-on. Doesn't have a 4 in the front tho

Do not skim the pistons, use a 034 compression dropping gasket

keep it simple as mentioned above

these engines are good for that power. skimming the pistons will give a little mopre margin. scats are fine. i run scats with skimmed. get them weight matched although they are usually pretty good already.

standard cams will do it. need a bigger intercooler. something along the lines of a 57trim t04e or upwards will make that power. get the fuel in and away you go.

                              3" system too. good map/ecu
