    Motronic ECU compatible code

Hello, I have a question. Is a Motronic ECU from a AAN compatible with a ABY engine, for example? I know that the pressure sensor is the same, but the software inside the turbo and injection chip are different? And a Motronic ECU from a AAN or ABY with a ADU engine? I know that the pressure sensor is different and also the software inside the turbo and injection chip, but if I change this parts can I put a ABY or AAN Motronic on a ADU engine? And a ADU Motronic on a ABY engine? If I change the chip?
    Thanks a lot! Bye

You can swap ABY and AAN chipsets OK - the ECU h/w is identical.

You cannot swap ABY/AAN into ADU (RS2) or vice versa without some tweaks.

So for swap an AAN Ecu in a ABY engine I don't need any tweaks? And for a ADU into a ABY or a ABY or AAN into a ADU I need to change only chipset and pressure sensor or also other parts? Thanks a lot for your answer!

Upgrade of ABY/AAN ECU to ADU need the 3bar sensor and another component change.

            Hi,
I'm looking for your help regarding of using ABY/AAN chips into ADU ECU. Why I decide to do this way is that I have ADU ECU, I do not need to change MAP in my current ABY ECU, and I have some Pogea Racing chips suitable for ABY/AAN.
So what component must be changed?

            I will appreciate your help!

            Regards,
            audi4fun

Hello, you can put a original ADU ECU into a ABY engine but you must change the chip, the boost pressure sensor is good I think for a ABY engine because the max boost pressure on a standard ABY is of 1,15 bar in overboost and 0.85 bar at full load, the boost pressure sensor of the ADU ECU can read higher value without problems. I don't know if you must change also other parts for put a ADU ECU into a ABY engine or only the chip for injection and turbo, Paul have write that also another component must changed. If you want put a ABY/AAN ECU into a ADU engine you must change the chip and boost pressure sensor I think, I don't know which other component must changed. ABY and AAN ECU are compatible without tweaks I think.

                Thanks.
Focus is on this other component which must be changed to be sure that ABY/AAN chips will work on ADU ECU.

So you have a ADU ECU and you want put it in a ABY S2 with ABY chips? Is this correct?

Wouldn't it be better to swap your ADU ECU for my spare ABY ECU?

I have Pogea Racing 440hp chips suitable for ABY/AAN ECU. I have also ADU ECU.
And I want to to make it work.

I know that there is small diff between ADU and ABY/AAN ECU' s. Also I have information that RS2 chips can be used on ABY/AAN with some modification in ADU ECU. I believe that it must work vice verse also. Just looking for info what exactly must be changed in ADU ECU.

                      Arturs

Yes, I want to put this ECU in S2 ABY (have some hardware modifications).

Please just sell me your ADU and use an ABY ecu.....It would be so much easier than butchering an ADU ECU

think there is some sort of resistor that is different in the adu ecu. Not 100% shure, but paul should maybe know this
