    @4WheelDrifter Sorry, I didn't say thank you for getting the part number.

    @Jon441cc I am still running the standard ignition, but everything is new OEM and much of my wiring has also been replaced to reduce resistance.

    @S2Central.net I have made sure that it's the correct tip on the arm. The only thing extra that I've considered was an SQ dizzy, but is that a direct replacement?

    Good news, the local stealer has an S3 DV in stock!

    It'd be good if I could get a whole month out of one. This will be my third in a month. I've tried the Forge 007, but that broke too. Do you not think the APR R1 would be up to it? Which model would you choose, if looking at long term cost efficiency, rather than regularly changing a much cheaper 710N? If I just go through one 710N a month, it would make sense to spend £200+ on a better diverter if it'd be up to the job.

    I would like DI, but that's a whole lot more money needing to be spent, plus another remap. I've got about a grand that I can spend, but then I'm done. On the list of things I'd still like to do is:
    * DI (but staying with Motronic, as I want to keep A/C)
    * Interior retrim, including new carpet
    * Carputer build

    I do have berely used Konis that I plan to sell to top up my funds, but I still think that I'll only be able to do one item on the list, not including DI. I may have to consider selling my refurbished S8 wheels and winter tyres, as they were only on for two weeks this year (and not the snowy period either ).

    New seats and a roll cage will come when it's retired to the weekend for track use.

      Hi Ross, the limiting factor in getting around a 2S with a tweaked K24 would be me - I don't feel comfortable pushing a car to its limits (until I eventually get on a track), which is why I like my current setup as it feels like there's still loads more under the bonnet than I care to use. Don't get me wrong though, I really enjoyed the car with a K24 and held off replacing it for as long as I could. If I had my time again though, I wouldn't bother with a 7A ex. cam, as I really noticed the loss of that instant torque.

      It was mapped by Mark at Automark, so boost is controlled mechanically, but isn't the map sensor an input for fuelling?

        The offending split. Hopefully the new one will last a bit longer.

        Will letting the car warm up for longer be of a benefit here? My thinking is that it may take longer for the DV to warm up than the engine and whilst the DV is cold the diaphragm will be more brittle.

          I went through 4 of these in a year once, IMO they are rubbish.
