HELP - URS4 Not Starting...no spark...immobilzer??
There is apparently an earth on the ECU, that could be a good shout!
Nobody have ANY ideas on why the injectors wouldn't be pulsing either then, no wonder it won't start no fuel AND no spark!

Have you got power at the injector plugs with the ign on? If not, you might have blown a fuse! Often happens when mucking about with ecus and stuff if you don't disconnect the battery
Good time to ensure that all the earths are nice and clean especially the cables attached to the inlet manifold which are for the Motronic system.
Phoned up Audi Yesterday to see if they'd be so kind as to forward on the wiring schematics for my car..........they couldn't (surprise surprise!!), but they put me on to the online Audi Technical Information Service (www.erwin-audi.com) ..........I paid 25 euros to access all the Audi Workshop manuals for my car (for a day), you aren't meant to be able to save the .pdf files or print them but I got it to work in perfect quality, so I have a full set of Audi Workshop manuals for the AAN, RS2, ABY, MC1 / MC2, 6A & ACE............everything that might be of use to me..............so I'm going to do a bit of reading and hopefully get to the bottom of this.....
I'm going to check all earths in accordance with the Audi Workshop Manual, then test all plugs and wiring along with what they reccomend

Has anyone ever replaced the ecu to engine wiring loom before?
How difficult a job is it in relation to fitting it?
Is it a dash out job?
I'd imagine the connecting up both ends would be the easy part (plug in the ECU and plug in the plugs along the firewall).
Cheers,
Leigh

I very much doubt you have a broken wiring loom - but replacing one is a big job alright... dashboard out, heater box/matrix and air duct out as that conveniently covers the bulkhead grommet where the loom feed thru.
The workshop manual from Erwin is a bit shyte generally on electrics - unless you have some good general experience and other info to guide you. With a breakout box you'd be done in less than an hour - without it, you are twatting about for ages trying to buzz everything out - BTDT.
I see your 25 Euros spent on Erwin and raise you about 800 Euros based on all the paper docs I obtained.
As I suspected and in that case not worth the bother...........
The car will be broken up, with parts appearing on this forum and ebay.......shame but no-one near me can fix it, and I've had enough...........

Still have this car sitting in the shed, had a conversation earlier with a bloke who works for citroen (I know!), anyway he told me it could be the key chip which talks to the ignition barrel sensor.......he says that he's had a few citroens with that problem..........what do you think about that?
I had an escort van and an old cavalier with that bother - the metal key broke away from the plastic part then we welded on a big washer to turn the key, but you'd have to keep the plastic key part close to the ignition barrel before it would start.....
Seems too simple........

Its sounding very much like you and I have the same problem, see my thread. First on my hit list now I have time is the immob. I'll let you know if/whenmines going again but I really dont think its worth breaking the car because of it.
