Is tb-pipe hose the same for RS2 and 3B?

Hi,

I'm having some problems fitting my hoses and pipes after installing my RS2 IM.

The pipe that goes into the TB hose is around 20mm to short, I was wondering if the RS2 TB hose is longer or if it is the RS2 pipe that is longer?

I would rather buy a new RS2 TB hose, then fabricate a spacer for the TB.

The hose across the cylinder head is longer on the RS2, John Newsh made a nice spacer as you mentioned

I'm considering using a spacer like John, but it seem easier to just to buy the hose.

But if I understand you correct, then buying the RS2 hose would actually fix my problem?

You need an RS2 or ABY intake pipe - or some way to lengthen the 3B one.

I had a feeling that would be the solution, however the RS2/aby pipe is plastic and not metal right?

But switching to the RS2/ABY intake pipe also means I need a new hose from the pipe to the intercooler.

Think the spacer seems like the easy solution at the moment.

Late ABY and RS2 had the plastic pipe - I think it is superior actually - runs cooler than metal one. I have a spare ABY one if you can wait for the postman ?

This is interesting actually.... so, is there any amendment needed to the 3B hose from the IC if you change to the ABY/RS2 plastic pipe?

I have an RS2 IM, RS2 intercooler and XM..... but with 3B Samcos... I do have the RS2 plastic pipe..... can it all be cobbled together then....?

To run with plastic pipe from RS2 on the 3B you will need to get rid of the two Samco hoses where the pressure pipe connects to intercooler - and replace with one Samco hose from ABY/RS2.
