Sweeper: what kind of dyno was used and what was power and torque at the wheels?
Got 608HP and 660NM

Because it's a hybrid turbo not officially produced by Garrett GT35r hotside wheel and housing GT30r compressor and cold wheel.GT3082R ?? I cant find that on the garrett website .

I do laugh at peoples astonishments, The bhp limits are a guide and good cams with mechanical lifters and a high rev limit will push the BHP
Look at MRC600 putting out 650 with a GT35r where on stock lifters you'll see around 600Comment

yes but 650 from 600 is not as big of a difference than 525 to 600++ (since the car was only pushed to 1.7bar and can be pushed further!!!)
it is engines like these though that make us think that,oh ok ill get it in my car and i can make that bhp and when you realise that you are making 100 to 150less,then you realise that cams, lifters, proper IC, etc can make more bhpComment

As I said you guys only think in terms of the Garrett figures and not real world results
The 3076r has made 560 bhp on a 1.8t engine at 1.8 bar for goodness sake so it making 600 on a 2.2 with 8500 rev limit isn't a stretch by any means
BTW that car was tuned by Repo, the person who's advice you seem to ignore.Comment

(Jamo, if you are not aware of circomstances you shouldnt say openly things that may find you regret in the future. Whatever i have talked with repo is my business and just because im polite enough not to openly say my side of the story doesnt mean that you should blindly follow what it is being said by him in this forum. )
Sorry Vadim
On the other hand, as far as the 3076R is concerned,Vadim stated earlier that the boost used was 1.7, not 2.2
and on the other side of the note. a GT30R used by Aron (ok 0.63AR though) only made 470hp crank at 2.1bar
so there are many sides to tuning obvisouly, engine parameters,as well as dyno results etc etc etc
All im suggesting is not to follow blindly dyno results.Comment

trot, sorry but the bhp quoted by garrett is based on flow so it will make no differance , eg , it could make 550hp on a 1L engine with 55 psi boost or 550hp on a 4 L engine with 10 psi of boost, either way air flow is the same.As I said you guys only think in terms of the Garrett figures and not real world results

either way the figure is a "quote" not a limitComment

Camone , don't be rude
, just wait for a week , I will upload the dyno sheet once I will be able to scan it home.
The thread was originally a question about clutch

CHRIST you start to sound like passionford :/
The stated figures on garret homepage is just as stated a guideline.
There are more then enough cars now that make more then garret state, a gt35 ar 0.86 have made 706bhp on a cossie, my gt35 1,06 made 651bhp @ 2bar on my cossie and a m8 gt30 ar 0.82 makes 562bhp @ 2,1bar.
It´s how effective the engine is to use the air, not the pressure the turbo makes that makes the powerLast edited by AUDIS2avant; 5 April 2009, 15:24.Comment
