And ? any info ? what about crankshaft ? how much the one he uses will hold ?
I have heard that the one form 2.2T will do around 600Nm.
2.6 combined with a 20V turbo head + absolute boost pressure over 1.2 bar + heavy right foot = BANG. The bore required to stretch the 5 cylinder block to 2.6l will not tolerate high boost, whe head gasket will literally be sitting on a knife edge, and will fail. We always use 2.5 as a maximum. We Carrilo rods, though my Orange Coupe q had standard rods that handled 413 lbs / ft without any drama. Don't recommend it though.

Are You using for 2.5 AEL block and crankshaft ? Or just boring ABY 2.2 to 2.5 liters (increasing cilinder size).
What is the limit for AEL cranksharf in Nm ?
What about 2.2T ABY crankshaft ... whice using light pistons and roods ... what is the brake Nm point ? i have heard that litle over 650Nm ... true or not ?
I don't think S2 block has much metal left for overboring. The 2.5 are just obtained using the 96.5 mm stroke TDi crankshaft on the standard 81 mm bore.
Not sure how far you can go on standard or Carrilo rods, but I had mine on standard rods for 4 years, with no problems. We don't recommend boring out 2.2L blocks, as it compromises the integrity of the seal of the head gasket between the cylinders, which has too small a lip. We use AEL 2.5L TDi blocks, which have a longer stroke, (95.5mm). The hardest part was finding a way to drop the compression ratio sufficiently to run a turbo of any sort. Pistons also had to be modified as the skirts fouled the crank when at the bottom of it's stroke.
Never seen this post before ( Sorry Mark was going through all your posts on the forum )
What is interesting there is they are taking the stroker engine to 7500 plus rpm???
Surely thats not right?
I don't see why not, Jamo. It does "seem" incorrect, but I've turned out 8K on a 4-cylinder VAG engine with the same stroker rod:stroke ratio (1.8T with a stroker crank = 2.0T). Furthermore, 034Motorsport has the CQ with a 2.5L stroker and they turn over 7500 rpm all the time. Very reliable.
