Very unsteady and non consistent boost on mapping session

    Ok,

I need some suggestions and input here.

I was in Sweden today to get my car mapped.

But ended up going home since we where not able to control the boost properly.

If boost was adjusted to say 24 PSI then it would hit that in 2nd, then it would drop to 20 PSI in 3rd and then come back up in 4th gear.

To say the least the boost was very unstable, in pull it would go to 24 psi and the next 22 psi.

We also tried going upto 25 PSI this would make the car cut out, but no fault code was registered.

Does anybody have any suggestions to would could cause this?

I'm very tempted to go and stick a bleed valve from turbosmart on the car and then set it to 1.6 bar and then see if stays consistent or not.

It is very frustrating, I have gotten the WG refurb and changed every damn sensor. Only thing could be that the RS2 MAF might not be smart to combine with the AAN ECU? I have heard that the AAN/ABY outputs 0-3V where as the RS2 output 0-5V?

    My setup on my 3B:
    AAN ECU
    034 High Output Coil kit
    RS2 turbo
    RS2 IM
    RS2 Injectors
    RS2 MAF
    RS2 Airbox
    Wagner EVO RS EM
    Wagner EVO RS IC
    3" turboback exhaust system
    7a FPR
    3 bar Vmap-D mapsensor
    RS2 headgasket and bearings.

I think MAF out put is for every S2/S4/RS2 0-5v

Yeah. The RS2 MAF shouldn't be a problem. AFAIK only the screens are different.

Have the boost/vacuum hoses been checked for leaks?

Instead of buying a bleed valve you could try a short piece of metal pipe with a hole in it. Start with a pin-prick hole and slowly make it larger until you get the desired boost. It would be cheaper.

I have a bleed valve so no need to make one

Hoses are new and checked several times, there are no boost leaks.
