Well I'd trade my right nut for a set of Carrillos or Pauter rods right now, cos I sure aint got the money for them...yet.
I've read elsewhere that the standard pistons are good for 500-600 bhp , especially if they are ceramic coated, but maybe someone else here knows better.

If You will not run Nitro you should use Mhale

@Albert: you surely mean Autoverdi but they are expensive.
@All: For an engine under 450 BHP/550Nm I'd stick with standard rods/pistons, afterwards stock pistons are still good but will need machining to drop compression a bit. For rods I know for sure that the stock ones as "just a little weak" at 600 Nm (meaning they don't always fail) so I'll try some rods that are cheap but a little more than "just a little" stronger than stock rods, which should be fine. For what it's worth, Lehmann uses stock rods for 700 HP 20vt engines so he can't be that stupid.... but where MTM will use 2 Bar and 20 degree of advance, Lehmann will only use 1.3 Bar and 45 degree of advance so that may surely help
