    RS2 Upgrade problems!

I now have my RS2 items fitted and the homefry RS2 chip by Paul. I just fitted a new wgfv and i borrowed my brothers BOV as my other S3 DV had a split in it. I just went out and opened the old girl up for the first time on her new set up. It boosted off the scale on my boost gauge (which only goes up to 20 psi new one on the way). When i cam to a junction i stopped and opened her up in first gear, the car took off and i thought this is more like it Then i changed in to second gave it WOT and the car just coughed and spluttered and hardly went anywhere I span the car around staright away and had to nurse it home coughing and spluttering
Any ideas? Have i done something wrong in fitting the DV and BOV?

If 1st gear initially went well i would check that you have not blown any pipes off.

try disconecting battery or use vagcom to erase fault codes then try it again..sounds like overboost protection

when ihave had overboost protection before it has not affected normal driving really. just wont let you boost abouve 5 psi. This is affecting normal driving so much so i had to nurse it home in first gear doing about 15mph. Just started it up and the idle is a bit rough and when you rev it the revs drop anbd the car nearly stalls. Do u think there is a boost leak?

Massive intake leak with a pipe blown off is my bet...

Pipe off the bottom off DV is my bet, done that a number of times. I've noticved that on a new ECU the boost goes mad once and then is OK. Check the pipes and then go again

Top marks to that man. Just checked it and sure enough the hose had blown off the bottom of the bov. New hose clip tightened up and she is like a rocket!

I love threads like this... Was aware of the DV issue earlier, advised Stevie, then went out to play in the sunshine. Back home to find it all fixed. Cool

Stevie is running my RS2 N-Stream with the 2.5bar MAP.

An RS2 airbox will help that setup breath better - or modify your ABY one - Rusty style.
