    Reversed Intake Manifold

Once I was told that one local rally service reversed intake manifold at it worked. The same way as MTM and Wagner look.

I thought it was a lie.

    Here are some pics :

So it's cut and weld I guess. Someone from the board experemented with the manifold not so long ago. Any comments if this can be done ?

Yep, I got bored one weekend a while and cut up an ABY inlet manifold to see if I could reverse it, it was just an experiment really to how easy it would be and I didnt go any further with it. Lee has it at the moment as he wanted to take some measurements from it.
I am going to modify a AAN inlet manifold in the next few weeks by moving the throttle body from its present position in the middle of the manifold to the front, as Dialynx have done.

IIRC you cut yours in half didn't you Mark?

I've been wondering if it was feasible to just cut the runners off an ABY manifold and weld them back on the opposite way round. I've not had a chance to look at a manifold close up (out of the car) to see whether this is a possibility.

          Any ideas?

Lee still has my sectioned one, if he brings it to the Billing meet, have a look at it, it may give you some ideas.

No I am not, I don't have the kit, I will get someone I have in mind to do that for me, but he is not cheap, do you know anyone who could do it for me/us . I'll just do the 'alterations' and hopefully it will work out OK .

He should be able to help, if not I know someone else who may be able to help. Who's currently making a large copper sculpture for Hampton Court flower show.

                              Tom,

I think that it might be OK and just clear the pump, I'll know more when I get the new engine on its stand and try offering the IM up to it, to check clearances.
