    Sump baffle, check valves?

I'm trying to make the standard sump on my car a bit better but cannot find what i'm looking for.

They are small rubber flaps thet pop into place to let oil flow in one direction.

I know people use them in cosworth circles like this.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Coswort...A1%7C294%3A200

Anyone know where i can buy the rubber flaps from

I might have to make something like that if i cant find any of the check flaps.

I assume a RS2 sump is pre drilled and tapped for the baffle because i dont remember my ABY having the holes.

I did see some foam inserts in high output rallycross cars. Take this spunge and sandwich it between 2 pieces of sheetmetal. Mill some straight slots into the sheets, or get loco with a drill.

I'd be cautious because of possible wear on the foam. On the other hand, race fueltanks are stuffed with something similar...

Thats the same as the ABY baffle or windage tray.

                      Same as the 3B too.

I have a couple of plastic 7A windage trays here. They don't have flaps on them, just louvres.

That is a 7A tray, not an RS2. The RS2 tray is the same as 3B, ABY and AAN.

Interestingly the RR is listed as having the same tray as the 7A. [edit] As well as the 3B from the 200 quattro Turbo.

Can you fit the 7A tray and the windage tray off the S2 / RS2 then i wonder?

I hope so because thats what I'm using. I never realised that the plastic baffle was not from the S2, so I must have a 7A sump. It's already fitted with the windage tray from a 3B.
