The T04E-50 trim is one of the best compressor trim choices for the 20v 5 cylinder engine. With the appropriate engine work (rods, lower CR, cams, exhaust, EM, intercooler) it can provide about 350 HP at the wheels on street 98 RON gas. On race gas, I've been up to 370-380 at the wheels with this turbo, still on an RS2 EM.

    A real winner IMHO.

    Cheers,

Totally agree with Mihnea here. Its a good choice for 350-380bhp. It doesn't have the top end clout of the GT30R but it is usable for road applications with plenty of boost in the mid range.

What is the Trim and A/R on the turbine side ? Too large and you'll suffer with lag.

Reading these compressor maps takes a while to get used to. I've promised myself to write a brief guide on S2 Central... In the meantime - the purchase of Corky Bells book 'Maximum Boost' is a good start - but it lacks a few conversion calcs and other things to consider when looking at comp maps.

Looks v good right enough. The GT30 is only v slightly more efficient and has a bit more flow up top. But this comp can make a little more boost. but we shouldent need that high a boost at the flow this comp can manage. Maybe ideql on a 2.0 l engine or a cossy or something. Sorry im half gassed now, but i used to size turbo compressors as part of my job when sober obviously....
