VagCom throttle angle and WOT code - Engine On or Off?

So discovered today that Measure Block 003 in VagCom that shows Throttle Angle in degress is actually %. Just great since I calibrated mine after it being angle.

Anyhow now it is set at 100% and 4.65-4.7V depeding on how hard you step on the pedel. Before it was more like 90% and only 4.25V. So not registering WOT.

Anyhow I also read in another thread that you should be able to see WOT throttle code in measure block 004. However do engine need to be On to see this code?

Just tested it today with engine off and it does not show the 10100 code just writes 00100.

Engine must be running for the measuring blocks to be anyway reliable - annoying but true... you need to log this in VAGCOM to see behaviour.

Ok will do some logging then

When should one expect to see the WOT code, I have been driving with vagcom on my car pc and been looking at the screen and full throttle in 3rd gear up to 5000 RPM has not yet produced the WOT code in meassure block 4. It only shows the part throttle code.

But 4.7 Volt from pin 2-3 on TPS should be enough to trigger WOT right? I guess I need to and meassure on the altitude sensor F96 to see if it is ok. I remember reading that this one effects WOT as well.

This could ofcourse explain all the trouble we had while tunning the car, with the boost going on/off.

I have the same issue with mine ! It never shows full throttle code , except for just half a second just as I start to open the throttle, just as it come off idle .
I have tried everything , I borrowed a spare TPS from Paul and it was no different , before that I was convinced it was the TPS .
The car seems to go ok , though I think is a bit rich as it has not got that nice crisp bite when the power come in. I have tried 3 MAF sensors and I am now thinking that there may be a wiring issue somewhere that is causing it. The next thing I am going to check (when I get time) is that the burn off is working on the MAF when the engine is shut off .
If you find the answer to this WOT code no show let me know as has been bugging me for a wile now.

Have you tried to change the altitude sensor?

According to this thread it fixed his problems.

I haven't tried changing it as VAG-COM is always reporting good pressure 995-1030mb .
i am also getting full boost so its not being lowerd due to altitude, just dont get the WOT code , seems like it doesnt hit the boost in as quick as it should , this seems to make sence if it thinks i havent put my foot down fully.

Strange then, but if I find the answer I will let you know.

In measure block 004, it says bin bits in mine and writes the code 00010 at idle and 00100 at part throttle. At WOT it should write 10100 but it still writes 00100.

So did some reading on S2central.net and discovered that the 3B and ADU/AAN/ABY TPS is not interchageable. Now I'm running AAN ECU so perhaps I should get a new TPS and see if this helps out on the WOT problem.

Anyhow I had a spare TPS from an ADU, but it only shows 3.6V at WOT, so that is fooked. Guess I will have to order a new and see how it goes.

the ABY ANN ADU all use the same TPS part number 078 133 154
                      so that isn't your problem.

It might be because I'm running a 3B TPS, I converted my 3B to multi coil setup using an AAN ECU.

I see, then that could be your problem, but did you not get good voltage from it ?
what angle /% did you get in vag-com ?.

I did indeed get good voltage like 4.7V and 100% in VagCom, but will try with the new TPS tomorrow and see if it helps. Also ordered the altitude sensor, just to be sure.
