    Nos for spool up

I saw on some forums, that some s2 engine, uses nos for a faster spoolup of turbo, what is the idea behind this. Inject nos, until turbo build bost, progresiv ? or how ?

I think that if it's in dragrace on start line, then the easyest way is to use launch control to build up boost before go

I did not express right. On large turbo, nos is used, for lowering the lag, in the 2 and 3 gear, is very much lag, on larger turbo, as eklund in his S4, i was intrested in some facts / explanation

I did this on my s2 engine with 35r turbo using a 50 shot.

Basically using the map sensor output to control the nitrous, so when boost is built up the fuel and nitrous solenoids are turned off.

        It works.

Is it possible to do this on motronic? or buy a program/add on I can use.

I will be giving it a go once the mot's done.

I used to be able to build up boost at standstill but I think thats what killed my clutch some of the other forum members will agree with that comment.

You can easily make this setup using a microswitch on the throttle to activate the nitrous.

Then use an adjustable pressure switch to deactivate the nitrous when your up to boost.

Here is a dyno graph for the Roger Clarke impreza, the car that won time attack and totb last year. The graphs are at the wheels:

As you can see it makes another 100bhp at the wheels and 150lb/ft of torque but the way the curves are shifted lower down the revs are the most impressive part.
