Hi,
So I'm currently making my own exhaust cutoff system.
I'm using a butterfly valve in 3" which I got cheap off ebay. But it has a electric motor which takes 5 seconds to open the valve completely so this sucks.
My idea is to use an actuator instead and I was looking at one from a Garrett VNT turbo for the 2.5 V6 TDI engines. But I'm unsure what the stroke is because the actuator rod will have to push on an arm that open/closes the butterfly valve. See picture below:

Anyhow if anybody would now the stroke of the actuator (have attached a picture) or perhaps recommend a different one I would be glad. I like this actuator because it is rather compact.
I'm also looking at this actuator for the T3 T4 turbo, see link
I will control it using my Eboost2 AUX output and a solonoid valve from TS that I have lying around.
Cheers
Jonas
