What's to tell? the RS2 route is the cheapest way to get 360-380 bhp depending on your exhaust and downpipe being 2.75 or 3 inch with suitable injectors.

You can relay the fuel pump to get 14 volts to it or best buy a 044 to be safe.

Time is money, money is time if that MTM engine had the rods done it would be a good buy but as it's on stock rods don't see the benefit IMO and it's MO only.

mike - if you do find out your maf is knackered I still have one lying around you could use to get you back on the road.

Have you thought about taking it to mrc for health check?

Agree about the rods, if the engines having all that work done to the top end then for the sake of some uprated rods it makes sense.

So what do you think the cost to go down the RS2 route is? £500

Why go to the added expense of doing rods when the engine upgrade is for 350 Bhp and well within the limits of the stock bottom end.

Because its a cheap safety option and we all know how people want to upgrade for more power. For the sake of doing something whilst your in there its worthwhile rather than doing it once then a year or so later when you want more power doing it yet again.

Makes sense to do things right first time round.

So you're saying stock rods aren't good for 350 Bhp? I thought they were good for much more. Clearly it the torque thats the real issue!!

Clearly you don't know how to read something..... I put above for when people upgrade for more power as I doubt people will be that impressed with a mtm setup when for the money you could clearly have alot more power.

Tbh I couldn't care less whats in your engine and what you want for it. I know I won't be rushing out to buy it anytime soon.

have fun and lets try to get back on topic and help mike sort his car out

I've had the Rs2 route and it cost under 4 figures, anyhow this is Mike's thread, I'm merely pointing out that as you were hard selling on his thread that it isn't worth it.

To have good torque in the setup you need the rods doing, if the engine is stock with stock rods it's not worth it as this is the most expensive part to do.

Good luck with your sale in your for sale thread, Mike you have my number if you need to chat.

Yeah talk to Doug, funny thing is Doug started life out on the forum and learnt about the S2 on the forum, but as to whether to pay 2.2k to the guy above well

BTW my stroker cost less than that to buy with a 3076r turbo
