    RR results aby homefries :(

    Hi guys.
Been to the RR today, and results are a bit disapointing i might say.
250bhp 367nm of torque on aby with homefries.
Problem was that it was overfueling (9,8-10,3 afr) and giving fault code on the intake temp sensor and lambda overfuel.
Boost was spot on tho, but power was way down.
Could this be caused by only the intake temp sensor tho?

if the inlet temp sensor gives wrong temperature it could raise the fuel injetction if i got it right..

if it reads colder intake air, witch means you can run more fuel it would probably adjust that..

EDIT: and if lambda says bad mixture i think it is because of the inlet temp sensor since your engine has unburnt fuel in the exhaust

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

I think 5 gear as it did arr 230km/h and the data was pre programed

this is the problem, just because the car is "homefries" don't mean it will perform as it should.just like any other car,if the engine is not in top notch your not going to see maximum BHP.

Ronnie you could try to use a adjustable potmeter and instead of the intake sensor. Then you could set it to 30 degrees and see if that helps.

If you are getting a fault code for a bad air temp sensor then ECU is getting bad info - so that explains it overfuelling...

AFR's in the high 9's will definitely cost power.
Now, the question is if the temp sensor gives a signal that indicates a temp that is too high or too low.
If too low, if will inject more fuel to match the density of the expected colder charge air. However, I suspect that it reads too high, dumping fuel to fend off detonation and possibly retarding timing too.

Don't take guesstimated flywheel output as gospel, it could easily be way off. Tested on another RR you could get a number that will vary with up to 20%.

Going from sub 10s to 12/11.5 gained me about 30bhp, that was due to a boost leak, worth checking for one even if you're convinced it's OK. Lambda is easy to change although it doens't affect WOT. Good luck with it.
