    N75 Hose Q.

    Hi All,

I need to replace and extend the hoses connecting the N75 to the wastegate and the new connection point i've got on the pressure side. I've had a quick look around and so far the best thing i can find is a reinforced fuel hose (is it possible to use a fuel hose??). Ideally i'm after something similar to the OE hose in size but in Samco blue or black? What have those that have relocated the N75 used? The OD of all the take off points is 8mm so looking for something with an ID of 6mm. Also, any idea what clamps are best? Cant remember what the OE ones are called, i'm sure they've got a funny name ?

    Cheers

Check out SFS performance - they do (or used to) a high temperature 6mm or 8mm ID hose that is perfect for this. Samco may now have an equivalent...

Oh and ordinary 'jubilee clips' are OK here - get good ones not el cheapo tiddlywink ones - but even then - be careful not to overtighten them.

I used 8mm Samco silicon for this, been fine for a couple of years now.

The clips you are thinking of are Mikalor
Edit: re-read your post, they are not what you are thinking off, but Mikalors are the best lol

DONT use the single layer silicon hose for N75 hoses. It breaks after a few k miles and causes all sorts of boost issues. Have had it several times on many cars. Use the triple layer stuff and you will have no issues.

As for clips that dont go 'click' just as you thought it was tight enough...... use JCS High-grip or high torque, they are great for silicon hose and dont strip the threads like other makes of hose clip.

            Thanks chaps,

I had a look at the small ID samco layered hose and it was almost the size of a garden hose pipe! Seriously, it looked way over the top compared to the size of the OE hose. I was given some silicon vacuum hose that fits spot on (is that what you mean by single layer Tom?) but assumed I would have issues if it inflated so to speak? I'll have a look on the SFS site, hopefully they'll have what i'm after. With regard to the clips, i didn't think there would be a jubilee style clip small enough to grip the OD size of the oe hose?
