I found that mine was a little sluggish with the old battery. Might be worth giving yours a charge, in case the aternator isn't doing the best job.Cheers'en, AndyC

VAGCOM is your friend here as you can check what the ECU sees as water temperature - check S2central.net for 3B details on Group 0
Your oil spumage at ADI might have messed things up if it has fouled lambda and/or MAF with oily filf.Paul Nugent

yeah, the oil had gone up as far as the maf looking at the pipework, would the burn-off cycle cure that or does it need help with IPA or something do you think?sigpic

Burn-off will help, but I suspect not much if its got a proper dousing... could be worth a pint of IPA. Trying a spare/borrowed MAF first of all should be the clincher.Paul Nugent
