    crankshaft balasing

    hy...

    the engine is 3B.
do I need to balansed the crankshaft before than I put all engine parts togheter?

i have new conecting rod (thanks to aromatic2) ,everything else is stock.

and I have one more question:
the pin on the back side of flywhell wich is importand for sensor can read a position of crankshaft, was broken and we patched this pin back on flywhell.

if this pin is not 100% on place like when was new,can they damaged the engine?
like bad ignition wrong start or something else.... the car was working on that flywhell ,but after 2 years ...booom.... can that be a reason for broken conecting rod.

    thanks for a help !!!

    sorry for my bead english!

    igor

you dont need to balance it, but if you do, you should do it togheter with:

    flywheel
    clutch
    and front pulley
the pistons needs to be same weight.
the rods needs to be same weight

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

Crank position sensor needs a good signal then is generated by a pin in the inner side of flywheel at 62 degrees BTDC - a bad signal from that will give all sorts of trouble - maybe even difficult to start the engine actually.

the engine starts very well, I am so vory about this pin. they are not 100% in place. is it posible that this pin killed my stock conecting rod in engine?

i asked one person on VEMS aboout the 7a, he said that if i would use a 7a flywheel then i needed to change someting, dont remember what though, something electrical...

Quattrostyle: that is what i mean, you dont need to do it, but it is good if you do it..

to change something electrical????? yes it is diferent on your car because you have ADU and diferent flywheel. but in my case i think it is the same.

can someone find me a part number of 7A flywheel . thanks.
