The principles here are all fine - having a tank as part of the PCV system to prevent oil vapour and moisture being returned to the engine. The tank must have two inlets though - one from the crankcase and one from the head.

The EVAP system with N80 is a separate sub-system entirely - the only common link is that some plumbing is shared with PCV pipes to allow petrol fumes to be inhaled under vacuum. It wouldn't be difficult to retain the EVAP system with the PCV system removed.

Paul would getting the smaller hose that goes to the crankcase to the tank and blocking that input completelly cause any problems to the crank as far as its lubrication?Do i need to make a dual output as well to the crank once the vapours are gone?

my idea with that tank is to take the small and the large tubes of the PCV coming from the PCV valve and the check valve (after the N80) and put them into the tank, then plug the outlet to the hose that goes to the turbo,so that a vaccum is always created. That should essentially eliminate all blow by from the crank going to the camcover,as there will be no part of the pcv going there. I will block the entrance to the camcover.

Lubrication to the camshafts is done anyway through normal routes of oil distribution, correct?

We've been through this before, you should read your old thread where I replied to this in detail, what you have just posted is complete rubbish. The tube from the cam cover is to allow pressure to escape, if you block it your oil leak is likely to get worse, you may even blow the gasket out completely.

so i should take the tube from the cam cover and plug it to the tank as well then instead of the other way around?

i thought the route of the blowby was from the crank upwards.

yes rechecked the old threads,(lazy me)

Take the hose FROM camcover, plug it in the catch tank, and BLOCK the small hose that comes FROM the pcv valve instead.

do i have it right now?

              yes.

basically the breather system wont affect your lubrication.

the excess vapour creats pressure if the space aint big enough. route the lines to the can from the crank and cam. make sure the catch tank has some way of venting pressure too.

just block up the vac lines to hte carbo can and that crap. tuck the one from the fuel tank in to the arch.

its about reducing pressure. no blocking in these areas. it cant harm having things unblocked unless they are vac lines and not breathers. a vac line will go to the inlet.

if its not in the air intack track **** it off.

outlet of the tank will still be routed to the MAF hose, which will be under vaccum, so that will help the tank to remove the vapours faster i guess.

im thinking of plugging the smaller of the 2 metal hoses of the pcv system, the one that doesnt have the check valve and the N80 connected to it, so that those can still be operating, specially since VEMS controls the N80 now

                updated attachment.
                which is best?

You could lift the cam cover and stick it down with sealant.

i was always left with the impresson that the vapours are produced in the crankcase you see? (as it reads in the photo). So since cam and crank need to vent, i need to allow more flow away from them.

im not so sure about blocking the lower tube though in that area that i have pointed. This is why i mentioned the T piece.

What the picture doesn't show is that the cam cover and crank case are connected inside the engine, there are large holes where the oil can run back down from the cams and the pressure can equalise. Think about it, when you top up the engine with oil it runs immediately down into the crankcase and can be seen on the dipstick within seconds.

also the picture says that during BOOST most of the vapor is supposed to be going throuth the large tube towards the MAF, which is why i connected the tank to that tube only initially.

now at least with that T piece, both will be connected to the MAF and hopefully more pressure will be released

Could someone make this anymore fecking complicated ?

Step 1 - get a catch tank... nicely baffled to promote separation of oil

Step 2 - make two inlets on the catch tank... one from crankcase, one from the head

Step 3 - make one outlet from catch tank - either to atmosphere or to MAF hose (always in vacuum)

                            Other enhancements are possible...

A - Modify EVAP system to vent treated fumes to atmosphere & block EVAP port into throttle body

B - Modify catch tank to return any collected oil to the sump - must go below 'tide' level
