    RS2 Fuel Pump part numbers

I understand that the factory RS2 part number is 895906089E

Also this pump is made by Pierburg.
The Pierburg from what I understand is: W0133-1598495
and also fits the below cars:

    Fits these Vehicles
    1989-1991 Audi 100
    1989-1991 Audi 100 Quattro (443906087BD, 895906089E)
    1989-1991 Audi 200
    1989-1991 Audi 200 Quattro (443906087BD, 447906091E)
    1990-1990 Audi Coupe Quattro (895906089E, 8A0906091G)

    OEM Numbers
    443 906 087 BD
    895 906 089 E
    447 906 091 E
    8A0 906 091 G

This has been done with my research only, someone else with more knowledge than me (not hard) might like to confirm this?

Can anyone please advise what the correct RS2 fuel pump part number is?
Is this pump shared with any other cars?
Do we know any other part numbers?

My RS2 has done 240,000kms, the fuel pump is getting loud so I think it might be time to replace it.

Your link is broken. It would show that the RS2 Fuel pump and the AAN fuel pump are both 43 mm in diameter but that the RS2 fuel pump is taller than the AAN 091G.

I can confirm i found a RS2 pump in my 1990 Coupe Quattro 2.3E. (I had to check the pump when i fitted the ABY engine to ensure it was man enough) But i am afraid i cannot tell you if it was in there from the factory or not. Perhaps a previous owner upgraded it, but the list above suggests that it it possible that it was original.

                I put the part number 895 906 089 e into http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...0906%20089%20e

It came up with PIERBURG - W0133-1598495 which only seems to come up as a ur quattro/200 pump:

Do you think it would be the same pump and bolt into the RS2?

I know the RS2 FP is 43 mm like the 091G AAN pump but it is considerably longer, as shown in the autohauz listing (see photo). As for the cross-references, remember than Arizona autohaus is in the USA and the USA never got any RS2s. However, the US did get UrQs and 200 20VTs so the cross-reference for 895906089E does make some sense (to me).

Im after a straight replacement pump. I wonder what other cars share the same pump as the RS2?

Here is the list of the Audi models that shared the RS2 fuel pump (more correctly the RS2 fuel pump was borrowed from them). Note that if it says, for example, A6/S6/Avant quattro, it doesn't mean the AAN in the UrS6, it can mean the ACE 4 cylinder or the AAR five cylinder gas engine.

I use a Bosch '040' pump in the rally car. This is NOT a 43mm pump.

                          Questions:

                          1. Is the 040 in a 60 mm basket or a modified 43 mm basket?
                          2. Is three-tabbed mounting bracket of your design (kudos if so) or is that a 034 bracket?
                          3. What is the strainer on the bottom of 040?

Gotta say Nik but for the same price (around $340 (or less)) you can get a genuine 044 Bosch Motorsport pump that will provide you with more than enough flow and pressure to meet your likely upgrading demands, e.g. chip set to 380 hp with no problem.

044 pump is NOT an in tank pump. The 040 is 'comparable' to the 044 but is the in tank version. Think about your fuel pressure you run and the flow rate needed. The rally car does about 5 mpg at max attack and there has never been a fuel pressure problem at 4 bar. I am thinking of going to 5 bar, bigger injectors and I'm not expecting any drop in pressure. Pressure sender fitted to fuel rail and pressure gauge inside car so I know at all time what pressure is there.
The 040 does sit in a basket that seems to be standard in most of the Coupe tanks. (I have a spare if you need photos emailing)
