    K Line Stuck Open

Have tried many types of cables, including the rossteck one. Have tried many versions of VAG-COM on many different peoples laptop's and every time they get K line Stuck open...

Will someone give me a clue what is happening, have you ever had this fault and how did you cure it?

Thanks Dimitri but I did check both of those avenues a long time ago.

I will be converting to ABY in 2013 so will be swapping out the Engine loom and have a proper check of the dash loom while everything is out.

It does my head in that I have never been able to read a fault code on this car and have managed to fix everything from manual testing of stuff

To read fault codes, disconnect Pin 55 and Pin 13 from the harness (ECU connector) and run them direct to your scan tool if K-Line is screwed.

55 is K-Line and 13 is L-Line. You will need both.

Lol, good idea the other 2x2 then only needs live and earth?

That will be ok for engine but I have still got to sort it at some point as I would like to fit climate so would be good for scanning this also.

Yea, it only needs live and earth in the black connector, you are right.
This is how I test all the ECU's on the bench before I ship them out.
