Hi there. I was selling an MRC custom mapped 3B ECU not long ago, and phoned Doug there just to check how much it might be worth before putting a price on it. He told me he'd do a generic map for that price .. £250. Give him a bell. HTH.

MRC, £500 is the custom remap where Mihnea sits in the car with his computer plugged in and remaps it as you drive, £250 is where they mod your ecu and fit a tried and tested chipset, this will be just the job for your car.

You can run a lot of mods on a homefries as I've proved, sure you don't get 100% of what the car is capable of but then it doesn't cost a fortune either as you don't need the map tweaking each time you upgrade here and there. Different turbo, injectors, MAF all need a proper remap though.

Get it sorted and enjoy Next upgrade should be a modified inlet, RS2 or ABY airbox followed by a 3" exhaust and larger bore downpipe, should see 280+bhp and you'll be amazed at how strong the car goes over stock
          Alright Andy

Im a bit confused what route to go down now. Im told i can get a generic MRC map for 250 which is the same price as a homefries. Which in your opinion would be the best value? Im goin to get a custom stainless exhaust made before remapping with cats removed. How many ponies do you reckon this will add on top of the remap?

          Thanks again

FWIW - I had a live map in my 3B from thon Belgian radge Minhea a few years ago. The man has nerves of steel.

Sat next to me with his laptop. Up and down the M90, light is fading, starts raining. "I need 6k revs in fifth"

                  Crazy Belgian cat..

Benefit of the latest homefries is that they are switchable and come with the recommended 2.5 bar MAP sensor in the ECU. So you can have your cake and eat it, as said already makes a massive difference. I tend to run in normal mode until the engine is warmed up and then swith to the performance map..

@Gordon - I have a couple spare 3B ECUs here that have been tickled. You can 'try before you buy' if you wish. Send me a PM if interested.
