Closed Throttle Position Switch, F60
- Open or Short to B+

- Short to ground

- Signal to ground
F60 out of adjustment

Throttle body sticking

Throttle cable in need of adjustment

Open circuit between F60 and J220

J220 faulty

Short circuit between J220 and ground

Moisture in throttle body connector
Idle speed erratic or outside specification
Check & adjust F60

Check F60 potentiometer and switches

Adjust throttle cable

Repair open or short ciruit

Check electrical connections

Repair short circuit



Would this cause my car not to boost or is it just an idle problem. My car was idling erratically the other night. going from 500rpm to 1200rpm. the next day it was fine again.

This would cause the idle problem, the ECU wouldnt know that the throttle is shut.

Agree with TomC here - keep reading the site and check the throttle pot and its built-in idle switch.
