There are a lot of other variables not known about this car, if i remember corectly Panassy know more about this car. He said on another post AFAIK, that this car runs E85, Gt30r, and lots of boost.

turbo speed sensor. the fastest cars have them.
IIRC, this car (in Argentina) runs mid 8 sec 1/4 mile FWD.... it is a 4cyl 20v motor running in nitromethane and methanol combo. it is a VW Saveiro FWD TURBO 20v 1090hp / 990 WHP.

Dude, I am saying, we do not know:
a) if the horsepower they state is correct
b) if the HW list is correct
c) general setup, and it's variables
d) fuel used
e) if nitrous was used or not
And I mean, everything You READ FROM THE ****ING INTERNET is not the absolute truth. Not even the turbocalculator speculations posted earlier.
You simply CAN NOT plot a line to a compressor map and say: "this is how Your engine will be, it is written to the internet" If it was, all 95.5 stroke fivers with this turbo, would have precisely the same power curve. As mentioned above, "there is no margin". Which is thickest crap I've seen in a while.
I was stated to be a "tuner". Well, this "tuner" has tried these things in person, more than once. How many times have You?Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspiratedComment

i am referring to the turbo maps from garrett turbos. NOT what that specific engine can do. If garrett says that the cfm capabilities of a specific turbo are X or Y then we cannot say that garrett is underestimating their values in order to justify numbers produced by a dyno. If all compressor maps advertised by a turbo company are fake, then why post them in the first place. I am not saying anything about a plot on the map,but the map itself. The map is generic and same for all engines. If a tuner takes the turbo off the map, it doesnt mean that it wont produce the numbers, but it also means that it will destroy the turbo hell of a lot quicker. Do you deny that fact?
And stop being arrogant. You are not the only tuner around you know. You are just the one passing through the forum this period of time. There have been others here before and there will be others in the future. You just happen to be the current 'all knowing specialist' for the time being. It is not a prick waving contest here, so relax. If it helps you to relax, i will say it as well: You are the best!Comment

Again, what I say about fuel, nitrous, efficiency of the engines, does not open to You. CFM/HP ratio differs from engine to another with because of million little things.
So we cannot tell, if that compressor is well-out-of-range-waiting-to-be-exploded overloaded, as we do not know the variables. Just use of VP MS 109 race fuel and 600hp would take this compressor well back to the map, even if there was no magic done to the engine itself.
Also, taking turbo out from the map, to right is not hazardous to the turbo, until choke is reached. That is something that's been missed here.
I am not the best, I am just the most vocal.

Lol, easy chaps.
Agreed that this topic isn't arguable without more insight knowledge. Haven't seen any dynoplots first of all.

Not what i suggested, just a guideline to show what air consumption would look like.
What i was planning to show to the forumers was that it needs to be operated far out of the map possibly needing overspeed to reach these levels.
If you run a compressor at that specific speed and pressure ratio, it's delivering that amount of air. There will not be a big deviation in that value.Originally posted by RepoAs mentioned above, "there is no margin"

All i intended to say was that this turbo is working outside the higher efficiency island, and yes it is safe to run there until you reach the choking limits of the cover/inlet trajectory.
But if you follow the speedlines it would be likely that it need serious overspeed to reach it.
I'm currently working as an engineer for a company delivering millions of turbochargers every year, so i see/hear quite a lot.Originally posted by RepoWell, this "tuner" has tried these things in person, more than once. How many times have You?Comment
