What should be the oil pressure in 3B, measured at 1000 rpm and oil temperature of 90 *?

Look for circa 2bar at running temp... More like 5bar at a cold idle.

Older engines can warm idle below 2bar of course but you should see well in excess of 4bar when revs are any higher than approx 2000 rpm.

      My 3b 1991 with motul 300V 15w50 :
      idle cold = 5bar
      idle warm = 2.5 / 3 bar

Think mine is getting worn then, as at tickover 800rpm on Pro-s 10W50, mine is just over 1 bar. If I take it to 1000rpm it creeps up to about 1.6bar... Assuming my stand alone gauge is correct...

I wouldn't panic to much, my old 10V coupe has only has 1.1 bar at warm idle, it's been like that for over 50K now and still runs perfectly. It jumps up to healthy pressure as soon as the revs increase.

depends on oil. my engine went on 0.5bar pressure with castrol rs oil(dont remember exakt spec)

bearings looked very good and engine ran fine..
