engine prob help please urgent

hi guys. On the phone internet at the moment. Engine is struggling at the mo stutering under light accel no power and really jerky. Was fine till i started driving to work pulled off at a roundabout and it happened. Once above 3k rpm is fine and holds boost so not a leak. Any suggestiors and what to check. Cheers aaron

Do you have good voltage?

It could be a vacuum leak, check the DV, ECU connections

TPS? How does it go at different throttle positions? Does it idle OK? I remember leaving the TPS unplugged one day and it kangarooed along but idles fine.

Is the MAF plugged in?

after stripping the coil cover have found 2 loose spark plugs got some new ones at home so walking to get then now. Voltage is good vaccum lines are all good too. Cheers guys. Think it may be a coil pack but that is next on the list to replace .

Don't know, a coil wouldn't work under more load than less IMO

I agree with Jamo here , coils fail underload not the other way about ..earth issue maybe on the coils?

Problem averted and wallet battering not taken..

We changed the coil pack boots and put new spark plugs in (NGK ones as they were the only ones available at short notice) put it all back together and fire her up and bobs your uncle problem gone........ not a coil pack just one of the boots was letting it arc to the head...... Thank god for that at least the car had the decency to let me know something was amis instead of just chucking a spark plug up to the coil pack!!!! Can't believe that two were loose but all done and dusted now

Oh and for good measure given her a good shoeing down the A5 just to check it was not a coil pack and she now purrs like a kitten and goes like stink again
