Thanks Mark...
All Plugs are new only done 2K since fitting them... But will have a look at them on Sunday...
How do you check a Coil?Comment

No Tested them with Andys test kit when I fitted your Mark H Hose...
Cars been running a treat for the last 6 weeks since I fitted it...
Took it to Hull and back 10 days ago and had her FLAT out in top gear on the run home.... Hit that magic last but one number on the dial!!!
Sweet!!!
It only started tonight...
I think its something other than a leak.... cos it was such a VIOLANT jerk and only when I hit the floor really hard... she pulls like a train on say 3/4 throttle...Comment

Mine's doing the same and I've got a known boost leak. It's something to do with the maf flowing more air than should be required for a specific boost level and then shutting off the fuel. Mine did it on a track day, and once on the road. Seems to only be when really hot.Audi S2:

New here but I've had this. Went on for months trying to nail it down, then developed a horrible misfire. Lost a channel on one of the ignition amps, rewired it to use the spare channel and its not done it in the 6 months since. well untill today but thats another post.
If its the same as I had its a really violent kick when it goes, feels like you just pulled the key out of the ignition.

Testing a coilpack is easier said than done. They are all hard wired together so not easy to swap a single one (and a damn expensive hobby too!)
It would definitly be worth removing the spark plug cover and having a look at the wiring, it often goes brittle.
Replacing things can be a stab in the dark, and again, very expensive!
Have a read of this thread, it drove me INSANE... finally the problem was solved simply by removing the maf connector and plugging it in again!!

I would also say coilpack. Had that problem for a while. Works fine in "limp" mode when you hit the pedal the power is on and off. Changed 2 colis then fine again for about 2 months. Got tired of the original coil pack, changed to 034 motorsport coils, I had my old car back

As Dest says the coilpacks are hard wired in so only option is to try a set of coilpacks from another car. I may be able to help you out if your free Sunday and don't mind a drive to Leeds? Plus the heat of the engine affects the coilpacks, so they might be fine for the first 10mins then it will start to play up.Comment

I will try other stuff first, if that dont work I'll order a new set and see what that does...
I have a feeling that this is the problem... But I will test for leaks first, then the MAF and then the coils... (I know these are at least 10 year old)... if not Orginal...
And if that dont work will look at fuel pump etc...
K..
Footnote...
Can you not measure the resitance of the coil's to show a fault or loss of current??Comment
