Any net resource on 3b ignition timing?

How does ECU decide about ignition moments, is it all in software, or is there some mechanical component on dizzy ?

Is any "fine tuning" on dizzy possible, or is it just "align the dots" ?

And, most important: is it possible that system operates one way before 4000rpm, and some other way after ?

Can I use strobo timing light to get make sure system operates ok ?

I'm searching the web for some in-deph resource that covers it all, but no luck so far.

All because I'm still having problems with my 3b>RS2 conversion - car makes max 0.5bar boost until 4000 rpm, and after that it flies.

    Thanks, Mario

    Hy,

the distributor must set 100% right at TDC , otherwise it runs in save mode we called (Notlaufprogramm)

On a 3b check the ignitor distributor (tolerance of the finger) this is the most problem and ignition wires....

OK. But mistery is why it goes like it should (up to 1.9 bar boost) as soon as it crosses 4000 rpm ?
