Hi all,
I've picked up an S2 for a friend and said I'd try and get it started up before he gets it so he can crack on with making it nice again (it's been off the road for a number of years)
It had apparently been started regularly but now doesn't. It has about 11Bar compression across all 5 cylinders and the plugs are sparking so I gathered it is a fuel fault. There is fuel in the tank and I added 10 litres just to be sure. There was a trickle of petrol at the fuel rail unions but no pressure so I checked just in front of the bulkhead at the feed and return unions, and there was no fuel coming through there either.
I'm just wondering which feeds at the pump (which I haven't found time to even find yet
) I should be looking for, and also are they constant or is there only a voltage when cranking? (I'm working by myself at the minute so just want to find the easiest way of determining if it's a feed problem, and if so then fuse, relay or immobiliser? If not then I need to look for an upgraded pump for him.)
Any advice would be most welcome
Thanks.
