Need to slightly modify the mounting on an S2 to make the RS2 cooler fit, but will def fit.
Difference is that its bit larger. this has been covered before, there is a pic showing the 2 side by side to compare size difference etc too.
Believe the RS2 item is 30% larger than the S2 cooler, could be wrong there, but thats the number that rings a bell in my head... altho am v tired at the mo

what i did was angle grind the old bracket off, lined the new IC up and then welded a bit of metal to the piece i cut off. put a twist in it and welded that back onto the x member so the IC uses the OE sliding bolts.
The job took about 1hr inc removing and re fitting the bumper.

I did the same job at Greg's Dad's garage, but it took slightly longer than 1 hour. Approximately 4 hours longer! Mainly due to a seriously bad fitting hose clip which eventually fell off on the way home!
If I was doing it again, it would probably take 1 or 2 hours.
Easiest way is like Greg says - angle grind the old bracket off at the crossmember, bolt it back onto the RS2 intercooler, get someone to hold it in place, leave 10mm clearance from the pulley behind it, spot weld the bracket onto the intercooler again, make sure all is straight and lines up (10mm clearance from the pulley don't sound a lot, but any more and you have problems putting bumper on) and weld rest of bracket on, taking care not to burn a hole through the crossmember. Then just paint to stop it rusting and get some hoses sorted out - the standard hose will go on, but it may well kink, and appear to strangle the car. It doesn't but when you look at it you wince.
Thanks to Doug for showing me how the turbo coldside turns (easy, really!) and have no boost leaks/kinks in pipe any more!
If you want photos, yell, but if you have a welder, an axle grinder, and a spare pair of hands, it's not hard.
