    air-water-air intercoolers

    Hi,

Has anyone thought about converting the intercoolin system to air-water-air style? These units are really effective and I'd say that installing one to S2 would'n be impossible. What do you think?

    1) a big oil cooler element to original ic place
    2) combined water-air heat exchanger/tank where the original airbox is
    3) maf and free flow air filter "somewhere". Easier in non A/C models
    4) suitable water pump (eg davies craig EBP aux pump)
    5) "clocking" the turbo so that compressor output is upwards

This kind of setup would shorten the pressure hoses dramatically and also is superior in efficiency compared to air/air units!

You are referring to a chargecooler. We do a kit for the 3B and ABY engined cars. See thread Chargecooler for S2 and RS2.
