Found a slight coolant leak today from what looks like a pump, it has a hose that comes off the tophose of the rad going to it then one that goes to the block? It is in the engine bay behind the main rad under the inlet manifold. Its about the same size as the idle control valve. Is this the afterun pump or summit else Can't do any pics cos its dark now, any ideas

Yes that is the after run pump, the outlets are plastic so are prone to cracking i think.
if you replace it make sure you dont overtighten the jubillee clips or it will break again
